Are you Done Dieting Yet?
How many diets have you been on during your entire life?
And… from those diets, how many of them gave you the results that you can see TODAY? Be honest….
For most, dieting is almost like a hobby, lose 10 pounds today, gain back 15 tomorrow, and do it all over again, and again, and again., and then we blame it on something – genetic, metabolism, etc.
Unfortunately, the average person has a pattern of choosing the wrong foods for their unique needs, plane and simple. I try to help the best I can, but I can only coach you to success, you have to do the work, and really want it. My average client eats for socialization, comfort, reward, FOMO (fear of missing out), and to hide from something.
I have said it before, and I’ll say it again, FOOD IS FUEL and that is all.
During this quest of weight loss diets, there comes a time to be honest with yourself, and dig for the true meaning of food in your life.
It’s not the food that is increasing your weight, it’s the reason you choose those foods, because you always have a choice.
YOU are the only person responsible for what YOU eat.
Every time you diet, and you gain back the weight, it becomes harder the next time to lose again. This becomes a vicious cycle which leads to frustration.
If you have been experiencing this, with little to no success, it’s time to change the pattern. What you have been doing has not worked, so now you need to do something different, and it starts with your mindset.
Why are you so obsessed with eating the way you do?
Why do you feel bad telling others that you don’t eat certain foods?
Are you hiding from your own beauty and success through food?
It’s a tough subject, I know, but we have to have this discussion if you are really going to change your body, once and for all. If you are overweight, you have a reserve of calories on your body, that means that you can actually go without calories for days. The only thing telling you that you are hungry, is your mind and your habits.
It’s time to be truly honest with yourself, and if you really want a change in your health and wellbeing…make it a lifestyle change, not a diet. If you are determined and willing to put in the work, then you need to make changes that will lead to permanent results, not a quick fix.
You want to lose weight?
It’s hard to go cold turkey. Your goal is one change per week, and then stick to it. In 4 weeks you will have 4 new habits, that’s pretty cool. Here’s the secret, listen up…
Get rid of all of the processed stuff in your pantry, refrigerator, and freezer.
Drink more water.
Get your carbohydrates from fruits, vegetables, and unprocessed grains, and be sure to combine a carbohydrate, quality protein, and quality fats with every meal and snack.
The goal is to never get to your next meal famished, you should feel ready to eat.
Proteins and fats will keep you fuller longer so use these guys to keep you satiated until your next meal.
At the end of the day, the only person holding you back from your physical goals, is YOU. And the things you’ve allowed your mind to tell you. Don’t allow bad habits to hold you back. Tackle this one habit at a time, give yourself kudos for your success, and then tackle the next habit.
You can do this, and if you think you need a bit more inspiration, reach out to me and lets talk.
