Fruit Pops
This is a fun filled wild card. Remember your kids will love them if they are sweet, but the goal is to do this without added sugar and to include an adequate amount of protein.
Make it
First lets start with the liquid – Coconut Water, Coconut Milk, Plain Water, Hemp Milk, and Almond Milk.
Here’s what makes them SWEET – Dates, Pears, Bananas, Watermelon, Mango, and any other sweet fruit in season.
Here’s what makes them POWERFUL – Goji Berries, Spinach, Kale, Collard Greens, Avocado, Coconut, Infinity Greens
Here’s what gives it PROTEIN – Hemp Seeds, Raw Almond Butter, Raw Cashew Butter, Infinity Greens Raw Protein Powder.
So here’s what you do next, for you first timers, start off by choosing a liquid that works for you and the kids. Next add in only fruit, make it tasty and blend it up in a Vitamix or blender. Then add in a little bit of POWER and PROTEIN, blend it, taste it – if its not sweet enough add in more fruit – Make it Tasty! Then freeze it in Popsicle Sleeves or Ice Cube containers with toothpicks as handles. Now here’s the trick, each time you make them add in more POWER and PROTEIN, your goal is to have an even mix of everything in a tasty treat that your family loves. My kids will eat several in a day and I love it – I know they are getting so much nutrition, that I couldn’t be happier. And better yet, these are my favorites after a good workout on a hot day!!
